What is APPLE Accreditation?

APPLE (Association of Professional Preschool Learning Environments) accreditation is a rigorous, voluntary quality improvement process that evaluates childcare facilities across multiple domains of excellence. Gold Seal status is the highest recognition available to Florida childcare providers.

The Five APPLE Domains

• Learning Environment: Physical space, materials, and organization that support child development

• Curriculum and Instruction: Intentional, developmentally appropriate teaching practices

• Child Assessment: Ongoing observation and documentation of each child's growth

• Family and Community Partnerships: Meaningful engagement with families and the broader community

• Leadership and Administration: Professional management, staff development, and operational excellence

• Maintain detailed learning portfolios for each child in your care
